First day of school...
Well it happened....time flew before our eyes....and the day came and went, when all four of our children went off to school....That morning I too was "schooled" on some things I had not yet learned....
1. It is NOT cool to have your mom take you to school on the first day, as Jordan and Maison quickly pointed out. Good thing Raeliegh and Corinna wanted me to take them...Corinna really had no choice....first day of Kindergarten are you kidding me....that is definate a mommy thing...
2. It is NOT cool to have a mini photo session in the new clothes, shoes and backpacks ten minutes before the bus comes, because "what if someone on the bus sees this and laughs," no matter how good they look sporting their new outfits and dos. And...
3. It is NOT cool to bring the camera into the classroom to take photos for the scrapbook of things like the desk, the books, pencils, "mom please that's enough photos of my name tag." Any scrapbooking mom will relate to my heart break when I couldn't even take one single photo of my daughter's new 6th grade classroom...
I have to admit, it was a day of joy and sadness for me. Joy to see my children growing up to be beautiful little people, and sadness that they ARE growing up to be beautiful little people....
And even though I didn't get to take all of the photos I would have loved too, I respect my children and their desire to not be embarrassed by mommy things I am so prone to do....
I love them dearly and wish I could at least slow time down some....
